Country singers’ entry into gospel music shouldn’t be much of a shock. For many young people, their first chance to sing in public is during church services. Many people started singing along with their respective families with pews. Later, they were seen to harmonize with their instruments and invite the choir. They would wake up early on Sundays to beat the preacher on the pulpit before they started their own band and played honky tonk from Saturday night until early morning. This was his first regular gig and the music of the church service accompanied him. Many of those artists put out albums from time to time that included their favorite gospel turns so that their followers would have a thing to pop within cassette decks on their travels to and from church. Amazing Grace – Country stars sing songs of faith and hope There is a ten DVD collection that shows how many musicians never forgot their early years.
Demonstrations are taken from a wide range of sources for the Elementary 8 DVD. Artists include Alabama, Vince Gill, Alan Jackson, George Jones, Loretta Lynn, Reba McEntire, The Oak Ridge Boys, Dolly Parton, The Statler Brothers, Randy Travis and others. The final two DVDs are all performances from the Grand Ole Opry’s stage. many songs from you hi ha The Gospel Quartet and other solid members, including Buck Owens and Roy Clark. There’s even more Dolly Parton to take you to church. During one of several interview segments, Marty Stuart talks about how when he meets the various band members, they may not know each other’s music, although they all know these songs. Included in all Sunday programs. This most likely explains why so many artists appear at home singing these songs as their hits.
