When Prabhas Starring bahubali Launched in 2015, it opened doors for regional cinema on a pan-India level. After the success of the film, a group of South filmmakers collaborated with Bollywood celebs for several initiatives. Joining the bandwagon, visionary director S Shankar and actor Ranveer Singh are all set to join hands for an upcoming pan-India venture.
S Shankar and Ranveer Singh to join hands for pan-India venture: Report
If a report in Pinkvilla is to be believed, the duo is aiming to create the biggest pan-India cinematic opportunity after Basahubali. The upcoming venture is believed to be primarily based on the cinematic adaptation of the enduring Tamil epic novel Velpari, which is considered an essential part of Tamil literature.
Citing a supply near the event, the report said, “Shankar is looking to make the biggest pan-India film by bringing in one of the biggest superstars of our generation, superstar Ranveer Singh, for this ambitious project – one of the iconic Gorgeous cinematic adaptation of the Tamil epic Velpari.”
Supplies stated, “The novel has everything – from larger-than-life heroes to incredible life lessons, to heart-warming love story and scintillating visual-effects visuals that scale the next benchmark of action glasses in India. The healthy nature of this novel has inspired Shankar and Ranveer to come together for this collaboration.”
Stating that it is going to be a 3-part epic in multiple Indian languages, Supply Wise, “The story is so vast and complex that all aspects cannot be covered in one film. Shankar has penned a screenplay that lends itself to a three-part film. He wants to start shooting the first part by mid 2023. This will be Shankar and Ranveer’s biggest film till date.”
However, it is worth mentioning that till now neither the director nor the actor has officially announced it.
