Two women filed sexual assault lawsuits against Eric Weinberg in Los Angeles on Monday, less than three weeks after the “Scrubs” producer pleaded not to be held responsible for 18 counts of sexual assault.
In their respective complaints, each woman is looking for unspecified basic and punitive damages for sexual assault, sexual battery, gender violence, assault, battery, willful emotional hurt and negligence. One of the accusers – recognized as CD at her trial – may also be looking for damages for the sexual assault.
CD claimed in her plea that Weinberg lured her into his Los Feliz residence in February 2019 and sexually assaulted her to reserve a photo shoot and help her launch her modeling career.
The lawsuit alleges that Weinberg touched CD’s breasts, “sought sex, forcibly inserted his fingers into her anus, performed oral sex on her” and ordered her to perform oral sex on him. The complaint describes CD as “a neurodivergent young woman who has been diagnosed with ADHD, which makes her less accustomed to social cues and particularly vulnerable to sexual predators like Weinberg.”
After he was allegedly assaulted, Weinberg allegedly prevented Ceddy from leaving his residence until he promised not to inform the police that he had raped her.
In a separate complaint, a plaintiff, identified as Abby, accused Weinberg of sexually assaulting her in December 2019 after luring her to his residence and meeting her while posing as a young man on a dating app. accused of. The lawsuit alleges that “Weinberg forced Abby to have oral sex, forced her to lick her anus because he physically restrained her, and forcibly penetrated her.”
Weinberg — recognized for his work on TV deals with the Hollywood government “scrubs,” “Californication” and “anger management” — was arrested in July for “multiple sexual assaults, including rape,” according to police. He was arrested again last month and charged with 18 criminal counts of rape, forced oral sex, sexual battery, false imprisonment, good bodily injury and assault by means of triggering sexual penetration by an international object.
On October 25, Weinberg was remanded in custody after a la Selection canceled his $5 million bail and labeled him a potential threat to society. Prior to the arrest, several women accused Weinberg of luring them to his residence over a period of seven years – usually under the guise of a photo shoot – before stopping and sexually assaulting them, providing police interviews and information.
An adviser to Weinberg did not immediately respond to a request for comment from the Times on Tuesday.
